The 2017-18 UEFA Champions League was the 63rd season of the top European club football competition, and the 26th since it was renamed the Champions League.

The 2018 UEFA Champions League Final was played at Kiev Olympic Stadium between Manchester City and PSG, both appearing in a final for the first time and guaranteeing a first-time champion. PSG defeated City 3-2 after a back-and-forth game in which there were three lead exchanges, giving PSG their first-ever title. Bayern Munich entered as the defending champion, and were defeated by Man City in the semifinals. The final, the easternmost since 2008 in Moscow, was held under extremely tight security due to the ongoing Donbas conflict in the Ukraine and was one of the most poorly-attended finals in competition history.

City's Sergio Aguero, in his final season with the club, finished as the competition's top scorer with nine goals, one ahead of PSG's duo of Neymar and Paul Pogba, who each tallied eight.
