Roma's hopes to finish top again to have a hat-trick of titles went out of the window as Napoli finished top by a comfortable 14 points. Roma would finish second just in front of Juventus by 2 goal difference. Empoli had an amazing season finishing 4th with Inter and AC Milan finishing 5th and 6th respectively. Lazio though had a shocking season finishing mid-table.
Napoli made the double beating Fiorentina 5-1 in the Coppa Italia final.
