The 2018-19 UEFA Champions League was the 64th top-flight European football competition and the 27th since its branding as the Champions League. Juventus entered as the defending champion.

The 2019 UEFA Champions League Final was played at Santiago Bernabeu, Spain. Manchester City, the runner-up from the previous year, faced Barcelona, who had defeated defending champion Juventus in the semifinal. After a scoreless regular and added time, Manchester City defeated Barcelona 5-3 on penalties to win their first-ever European Cup and completed a treble, having already won the Premier League with a record 96 points and the FA Cup the previous weekend. With the win, Manchester City became only the second English club to earn a treble (after arch-rival Manchester United) and earned a spot in both the 2019 UEFA Super Cup and the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi, PSG's Neymar and City's Gabriel Jesus all finished the competition with 11 goals.
