The 2019-20 Premier League was the 28th season of the Premier League since the top flight of English football was rebranded. Twenty teams played 38 matches, home-and-away. Manchester City entered as the defending champions and Burnley, Reading and Wolverhampton Wanderers entered as teams promoted from the 2018-19 Championship.

Manchester United secured their third title of the decade on the last day of the season. Manchester United were away at 2nd placed Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham and United were on the same points and same goal difference, which meant whoever won the game won the Premier League. It was an exciting match which looked like it would end in 6-6 when Sam Gallagher of United scored a last minute winner, thus becoming the most scored game in the Premier League ever and making United champions.

Swansea got relegated with 3 weeks to go, becoming 20th. On the final day, Reading and Leicester lost to make them in to relegation spots as well.

Sam Gallagher (Manchester United) got the Golden Boot whereas Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur) picked up PFA Player of the Year, getting 20 goals and 29 assists. Josh Sims (Liverpool) got PFA Young Player of the Year, as well as Goal of the Season.

Defending Champions Man City got placed third, with Chelsea 4th and Liverpool 5th. Southampton got a Europa League spot by winning the FA Cup. Arsenal also nicked a place by winning the League Cup.
