The 2019 UEFA Europa League Final was played on May _th at the Türk Telecom Arena in Istanbul, Turkey between Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, with the winner earning the UEFA Cup, a spot in the 2019 UEFA Super Cup and automatic qualification to the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League. Both teams had entered the competition in the Round of 32, having placed third in the group stages of the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League.

In a dominating victory, Dortmund defeated Inter 3-0, scoring two goals within ten minutes of each other in the first half. Two goals were scored by Dortmund midfielder Julian Wiegl, and all three were off of set pieces. Wiegl was named Man of the Match for his efforts. It would be the last game as Dortmund manager for Thomas Tuchel, who left Borussia that summer to take over Everton.

With the win, Dortmund qualified for the 2019 UEFA Super Cup. They had already qualified for the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League by virtue of finishing second in the 2018-19 Bundesliga.
